It’s Easter, Miss Penny speaking, I don’t see the Easter bunny hop-hopping anywhere! No chocolate either, not that I care about chocolate because it’s poison to dogs. Not to Susan, judging by the way she shovels those Cadbury Mini eggs in her mouth. Psst! She thinks I don’t notice, but she forgets I have incredible hearing. First comes the rustle of the bag, then the crunch of the outside and

then a sigh. I’m assuming the sigh is the chocolate but not having tasted it I couldn’t say. Perhaps it’s like leftover turkey and yummy gravy with a bit of kibble for the crunch. I savour the gravy and spit the kibble out on the rug: Susan yelps when she steps on it. Sorry! I don’t see any Easter turkey and no visitors or visiting planned. It’s this corona thing again, physical distancing, very weird. I like the attention from visitors and they smell different and most important they think I’m cute or adorable and I like that, but not this weekend. Susan says distancing is important to keep humans safe and stop the spread of infection.
