Raining Cats and Dog!

Really! Cats and Dogs, Miss Penny speaking, cats hate water and avoid getting wet. I’m a dog—sort of—I certainly don’t fall from the sky, I might hurt someone or worse, me. Ha, Susan is on that Google thing and the Everyday Mysteries website says it may come from the Greeks ‘cata doxa’ which means ‘contrary to experience or disbelief’ or ‘it’s raining unusually hard.’ So, why don’t they just say that instead of involving perfectly good dogs. The human rational, baffles me. Hey, what do I know, I’m a dog—sort of. Anyway, no dog or cat (the cat would be a problem, I haven’t found a friendly cat yet) fell on me today but I got wet. Susan wrapped me in a towel and cuddled me dry, I love that. Oops! I almost forgot. Susan says please subscribe to Susan’s Writer Group News. She promises no spam, I can vouch for that, just updates and interesting book trivia. Having an email list of fans is perhaps the most important thing an author can have as it allows the author to announce new books, events and you don’t miss out on anything new. Well, that’s me for this rainy day.
