What? I know I look a mess, Miss Penny speaking. I hear rumbles of the groomer. I’m trying to pretend the floppy bangs are stylish and the matts are just a cozy lining to keep me warm. I’m not sure it’s working the brush smarts when Susan brushes me. I don’t like being brushed except when she brushes my back. Oh, that is heaven, but then she catches one of those matts that wakes me up fast. Actually, I don’t like any kind of brush. The latest is my teeth. Susan holds my head in a vice-grip and shoves this brush in my mouth. It has some paste on it, which tastes pretty good, and I’m momentarily distracted until she scrubs along my gums and teeth. Can someone tell me why? Susan says I have smelly breath and my teeth will fall out. So what? As you know I have too many teeth, losing one or two wouldn’t make any difference or would it?
We’ve had a busy week Believing Her Lies is taking awhile, the cover design looks good but Susan sent it to a professional designer, a wise decision. Mary is proofing the manuscript and all being well it will be off to the printers next week with a release date of March 27th. Click here to read the synopsis.
