A bath for Thanksgiving, Miss Penny speaking and I’m not impressed. Do you know how humiliating it is to be plunked in the kitchen sink, sprayed with water,
scrubbed with shampoo and not allowed jump out? Susan coos at me, telling me I’m a good girl. Good Girl! I have no choice, so I shake myself, which is not easy in the confines of the sink. Hee, hee, Susan can’t move without letting go of me, and we know what would happen then; so she gets soaked. I don’t care at this point
because I look like a drowned rat and feel like one too. Then, this is the good part, I’m wrapped in a big towel and cuddled and massaged, this is doggie heaven. Next, I am allowed to jumped down. I charge around the apartment trying to dry off, shaking and running like a mad thing, I’m still shivering, it is frigging cold
running around with wet fur. I’d like to see Susan run around with wet fur …. Um, maybe not. It is Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend but this corona thing has scuttled most family get-togethers. I don’t see any turkey or pie and that means no giblets or leftovers for me. So why did I have to have a bath? Answer me that Susan? Oops, here comes the evil eye, I’m not going to get an answer but I had better tell you about Susan’s writing activities, new covers are coming for the Lavender Cottage Novels and Heart of Sophie’s War is one-third written —
