Dog tired, exhausted that’s me, Miss Penny speaking. I’ve slept for two days and I may have been traumatized for life. Thursday morning I was so excited, we were going out. My excitement soon dampened when we got to the car. I hate the car. I’m shoved on the back seat and I want to sit on Susan’s knee. I don’t like it,

so I whine, then Susan gets mad. We arrive and park; someone yells through a fog horn and Susan disappears. I kid you not she leaves me alone in the car. Susan went to get her Covid needle now I’m sorry for her because I remember needles at the vet. Perhaps we can have visitors again, Susan shakes her head not yet. Okay, so now for home. Urr…, just a minute we are going in the wrong direction and suddenly I’m outside Pet Agree. Oh no the groomers! And, you guessed it, she leaves me again. Okay the story is not over, I was truly

abandoned, because when I’m all coiffed and looking pretty good, if naked is good, Rose comes to fetch me. This is very disconcerting, where the heck is Susan. No matter, I’ll worry about that later, just get me out of here. Joni, the groomer is real nice but I’m not too keen on the bath and clippers. Rose’s house will do for now. I run upstairs, I love running upstairs, we don’t have stairs in the apartment, no she’s not there, I run down search the living room but I can’t find her. This is it, I’m a poor abandoned orphan. Susan will pay for this, but for now I’ll cuddle up with Rose. Susan eventually arrives and then another car ride, I hate the car, but finally we are home. What a day, let me sleep. If Susan thinks I’m promoting her writing today she can think again, she doesn’t deserve an assistant. I shall sulk.
