Those darn squirrels are as illusive as ever, Miss Penny speaking. Remember last week Susan was complaining about the heat, psst, whining actually but we won’t make a meal of it. Anyway because of the heat I get short walks but yesterday it was cool and we walked to Britannia Beach through the park along the bike path. I’m guessing the squirrels were happy too, maybe they don’t like the heat. Anyway there were thousands of them, you think I’m exaggerating, I’m a dog and don’t count passed three and I can only do that because I get three treats, Susan throws, one, two, three and I catch them. I digress, back to squirrels. What a treat, squirrels running around everywhere, chasing each other, up the tree,
down the tree, leaping from tree to tree. I’m ready to jump in. I spot three small ones chasing each other around ta tree trunk. I take a leap at the tree and wahoo I’m off the ground, I’m flying, the squirrels don’t run away, my front paws are on the tree trunk, but I don’t know what to do. I’ll just copy the squirrels and run up the tree. I’m ready and then thud, I’m back on the ground. Susan is laughing and judging by the squeaky noise coming from the squirrels, they are too. Very embarrassing! Those darn squirrels. I tried it a few more times but I never did
