Picky Princess Penny, that’s me! Miss Penny speaking. I’m just a tad picky with my food. Apparently, according to the vet I am under weight and don’t eat enough. She recommends I eat dry kibble or fancy canned dog food with lots of

calories. Err … no, that’s for regular dogs, nudge, nudge, did you forget I’m a princess? I’m not averse to a few delicate crunchies with my meat, but absolutely no canned food, that messes up my digestion. And sometimes I don’t feel like eating. Now, that puts Susan is in a tizzy, when I don’t eat. She cooks all kinds of different chicken, usually breast but when I didn’t eat that she tried chicken thighs, they were okay for a day or two, except she added rice, I’m not keen on rice and it’s hard to spit the rice out, she said I needed carbs, what the heck are carbs? Next I had ground beef with gravy that was quite tasty until she

added veggies, little squares of orange carrot and green peas, imagine green peas, they were easier to spit out. What next? I smell something good, I think we’re back to plain chicken, maybe I’ll eat today, I heard rumblings of calling the vet and that would mean a car ride, I hate the car, and then I endure prodding from the vet. Okay, I’ll eat today. No evil eye and not a word about author Susan’s

writing today and I bet you’re wondering why. Well, not much to say, she is revising Prelude to Sophie’s War for the second edition, playing with cover art but no decisions yet on Heart of Sophie’s War. Psst! She’s not the most decisive person and it took her long enough but the new cover for The Blue Pendant is finally done.
