What the Heck is Halloween?

What the heck is Halloween? Miss Penny speaking, is it the cold weather that makes strange things grow in people’s gardens? Big orange things with faces, enormous black spiders, covered in cobwebs, I’m not kidding they are bigger than me. I know …I know I’m kind of little but still they are enormous. Normal people in our neighbourhood, where we walk everyday, turn into really creepy looking monsters, bleeding all over the place; it’s enough to scare the tails off the squirrels. And it gets worse, they take off their skin and rattled around in just their bones. Psst! I did take a sniff at the bone part, but it was plastic. I’m not sure I like Halloween and there’s more. Susan explained, the kids all dress up as ghosts and fairy princesses and knock on strange doors calling Trick or Treat!  It’s bit a modified this year because of the corona thing. And then, get this…these creepy looking people make terrible monster noises and hand out candy to these little kids. I understand the treat part, but not sure how I can knock on doors and those creepy people are not to be messed with. Oh no, is Susan going to turn into

I will refuse to walk in the neighbourhood today, we’ll stay in our garden, let’s hope none of these orange things sprout up, I haven’t seen any spiders yet and the squirrels still have tails.
