Phew! What a traumatic day, Miss Penny speaking! Susan ran off and left me shut in the office, said she had to see Dan about her summer tires. A bit late I thought, but what do I know I’m just a dog. When she returned, I was bundled in the car, I hate the car almost as much as I hate being alone, except we went to Rose and Pierre’s and who was in the driveway but Cosmo, he’s the cutest dog, just my size. Then, I’m on my leash again, I’m all excited we’re going for a walk, except we stopped outside Pet Agree and you know what happens there. into the arms of Tracy and walked away. Didn’t say good-bye, nothing; something to do with this corona thing. I felt very abandoned. But, I do like Joni, the groomer, I just wish she wouldn’t put me in the bathtub and use those clippers. When Susan finally picked me up I was embarrassingly naked except for my head. Psst! It did feel good to be rid of those knots, they do sting. However, my embarrassment didn’t finish there. During our walk this morning we met a very handsome Lhasa-aspos he had the most beautiful long fluffy white coat. We sniffed each other and made friends. Then I remembered

I was naked, I blushed to tips of my toes. Okay well, I know I can’t blush, but it felt like my shorn-skin-showing grey-black coat was bright red. Susan is giving me the ‘really’ look. A bit dramatic, maybe? Time to talk about the boss, I am an author assistant after all.

Not much writing going on these days, Susan says she’s thinking and planning a new novel. Hum…not sure about that, this corona thing has interfered with her creative writing gene, it’s just temporary, I hear rumblings of a new historical fiction. However, in the meantime, with Rose’s genius for photoshop, the new covers for The Sackville Hotel Trilogy are finished. E-covers first, paperback coming shortly. That’s it for now maybe the thinking and planning will turn into words this week. Who knows?
