Today is Susan’s birthday, and she has gifts for you!

I don’t understand why humans get so touchy about their age but the look I got from Susan when I mentioned her age was not for the faint of heart. Sorry but you’ll just have to guess. And, my advise, be very, very careful with the guessing.
Here’s a funny story to celebrate, although, I did not find it that funny but Susan did.
Remember, the vet last week, well during the visit Susan expressed her concern that I’m too skinny. The vet asked Susan what I ate. ‘Fresh cooked chicken or beef and sometimes half a boiled egg for extra nutrition. But’ she complained, ‘she won’t eat any kibble (dry dog food).’ The vet had this amused look and replied, ‘if I was offered chicken and/or beef I doubt I would eat kibble either.’ Susan went very quiet and the look on her face was ‘point taken’, that was before she laughed seeing the funny side to her comment. Now this had me a bit worried because I could see that Susan was reconsidering my diet. The vet was quite right, my appetite is fine. Why would I eat dry kibble when I get fresh food?
And… as I suspected a new brand of kibble appeared in the grocery order. Psst! Don’t tell Susan but I quite like it. Susan is all excited because now I eat a little, not too much, just a little, kibble with my chicken or beef.
