I have a mystery to solve, Miss Penny speaking
…. and it is a conundrum. Just in case you don’t understand fancy words, remember I’m an author’s assistant and have an excellent vocabulary. No, I’m not showing off! Well, maybe a bit. Conundrum means difficult and confusing and that describes my problem.
So, here’s the mystery. I was being cool, minding my own business, sniffing around nowhere in particular the other day, when I got very excited. I picked up Susan’s scent in the corner of Rose’s living room. I sniffed and sniffed. Definitely Susan’s scent, tucked up in the corner. But the space was too small for Susan. Psst! You didn’t hear this from me, but she’s a bit chunky for small places. So, I had an extra long sniff, nose to the ground up to the sofa and there it was, Susan’s purse.
Perhaps she ran away? No, she’d take her purse. Kidnapped, that’s it she’s been abducted by aliens – not a clue what an alien is but it sounds dramatic- and the last time I saw Susan she was being taken away in an ambulance by paramedics, they seemed very nice and kind but I wonder? Could they have been aliens?
I’ll keep looking and let you know next week if that is okay with you?
Hum!! I’m worried. I’ll ask Rose when she gets home from work.
