What a Week!

What a week, Miss Penny speaking. It has been a sad and very busy week because there was a death in the family.

Our apartment seemed to have a revolving door, with lots of visitors staying and visiting. I’m okay with visitors as I get lots and lots of attention. Although, I stuck close to Susan as she needed my cuddles.

We’ve been too busy for writing, so nothing to report other than some promotions on The Blue Pendant. One day left on the Amazon count down deal, US & UK only

And, now, we are at the cottage on Opinicon Lake with a whole lot of people, relaxing and enjoying a sunny weekend.

Opinicon Lake

But… Can you guess what that means?

Trouble times, two pug cousins. Yep, the cottage means I have to be polite, sniff and be nice. I can do that and Lily is okay, but Lola gets in my face and I don’t like that, so I climb all over Susan for protection. I’m very scared.

The worse thing is Susan tells me not to be a baby. Can you believe that?

Instead of protecting me, Susan tells me to be friends. She even accused me of being jealous. As if???

Psst! Actually, this visit was going okay until this morning.

First let me explain. I have a blanket that goes on the end seat of the sofa, where Susan sits. I stay close to Susan and tuck myself between her lap and the arm of the sofa.

Well, this morning who is on the sofa, in my spot and … now this is an insult … she’s all tucked into MY blanket fast asleep, snoring without a guilty care in the world?

That is MY blanket

You guessed it, one of the pugs It was Lily, and Susan did absolutely nothing. She even said she looked cute and adorable.

‘Cute and adorable’. Those words are for me, not pug cousins.

I think I will sulk for a bit and ponder on what I can do.

Oh, that’s all I have time for. We are going out on the boat.

Boat? Hum, I’ve never been on a boat. An adventure story for next week.

P.S. Susan says summer is a great time for reading, e-books, paperbacks and audiobooks. Listening at the cottage by the lake sounds like a perfect summer pastime. Check out listings and Links.
