Biscuits in bed, not a good idea, Miss Penny speaking. I am in a lot of trouble. I am not allowed to have dog biscuits in bed, which is annoying as the bed covers
are a great place to bury things. But, I got lucky the other night, it was near bedtime and I was wondering around with a Milkbone in my mouth trying to decide whether to bury it or eat it. Then a miracle happened Susan picked me up and put me on the bed. Psst! She didn’t know what I had in my mouth. Still undecided as to whether to eat it or save it, I tried burying it near my pillow, that didn’t work so I gave the corner of the biscuit a chew but changed my mind and
decided to bury it near Susan’s pillows. I thought it would be safe there. The discovery was not pleasant. Susan found dog biscuit crumbs in her bed. She went nuts, said the crumbs were the worst thing ever, shook her finger at me, I kid you not, vicious she was, me the princess, I’m traumatized. A bit dramatic don’t you think? I’m talking about Susan not me, it was only a few crumbs. I don’t know what all the fuss is about. Thank goodness she got over it quickly. Oh, I’m getting the evil eye. Hum…writing this week. Not much to report, she’s working on the blurb, that’s the description for the back of the book for the new one Heart of Sophie’s War. The new Blue Pendant covers finally went up yesterday. Gees, she took her time with that one. That’s all folks, the moral of this story is don’t eat dog biscuits in bed.
