Trouble with Toys!

Trouble with toys! Yep! I’m in trouble again, Miss Penny speaking. I have a lot of toys, some weird ones, like a furry dog that’s bigger than me, I can’t get my mouth around it. I don’t always get how the two legged think? You all know my favourite toy is Pink Baby but socks are a very close second, then comes Mouse-with-a-tail, that’s particularly good for shaking, so is Lanky Monkey, he’s a lot of fun as arms and legs flap around my head. Bedtime is playtime, Susan is too busy writing during the day, Lavender Cottage Book #4 is way past the halfway mark. Did you know there are four dogs in this series, Buddy Boy is a laid back Bichon Frise and Arthur, he’s more my style a wiry terrier and two Golden Retrievers. Ah, where was I? Playtime, first we play socks. I always win. Pink Baby is fun too, she squeaks but Susan tease me and hides her under the covers and that makes me mad. So you’re wondering about the trouble part. Well, it’s like this, I like my toys in bed with me and I let Susan share my night-time bed, its quite big enough for the two of us and my toys. Here’s the problem, Mouse-with-the-tail and Pink Baby squeak, its an interesting sound but it must hurt Susan’s delicate ears. Have you noticed how small human ears are? Anyway, last night Pink Baby got between us and…can you guess what happened? Yep, she squeaked very loudly and woke us up and then Mouse-with-the-tail got wrapped around me and made a heck of a squeak. Susan sat bolt upright and grabbed the toys and threw them, I kid you not, she threw them on the floor. I am greatly disturbed and stare at my favourite toys lying motionless on the floor. Then, she gets mad with me and tells me to go to sleep. I don’t like being in trouble so I pretended to sleep.
